Well said! I don't understand the people who dismiss the capabilities of AI without even considering it. It's a powerful, multifaceted tool that can be used for good or evil.
And I like how you brought up how we'll need to learn to use it, to adapt. It will be like the new Microsoft word for writers - even the most efficient writers physically would not be able to copy and paste as fast as a computer, so adapting is necessary.

For better or worse, we can’t ignore it as it is out there. We can only try to steer it towards better.
Yeah, alignment is certainly a tough issue. Hopefully some of the minds smarter than me can figure out how exactly it can be done. I’m not as much of a doomer in terms of AI being the end of us as some, but it should definitely be taken seriously.
